When a child is born, it grows. Dubai is like a new born child who has been blessed by God with the most passionate and visionary leaders whom I would term as the parents of UAE and Dubai. Dubai has been nurtured at the hands of these great leaders and placed at the helm of immense development and forward strategic thinking. Every child faces challenges but it does not stop him from progressing. At present what you see is just the beginning of something extraordinary. The country has rewarded and given everyone something beyond their expectations; a great lifestyle, security, a wealth of experiences at one place and the opportunity to grow.

Before taking a look at what’s in store for Real Estate in 2017, here is a quick recap and snapshot  of one decade full of achievements : creating the biggest real estate market from nowhere; laying the groundwork for one of the finest infrastructure found globally; the growing from strength to strength of  Emirates airlines; constructing the  World tallest tower Burj Khalifa, Dubai mall, the creation of Palm Jumeirah, getting the Dubai Metro up and running ; inaugurating Dubai Parks and Resorts, setting up of  DIFC the Middle East’s largest business hubs, being host to a plethora of world class hotels, successfully running and managing one of the busiest airports in the world. The offering also includes innumerable fine dining destinations, superb tourist attractions, unrivalled Free zone facilities, a fully dedicated China Market, the completion of the Canal Project, boasting of top notch landscaped golfing facilities and pristine beaches along the coastline amidst a desert environment.

In shaping the city’s real estate map, it has handed over multiple townships and built mini cities within a city manifested with world class facilities such as : Emirates living; Dubai marina, Dubai Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, Business Bay, DIFC, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Barari, Jumeirah Island, Arabian ranches, Motor City, Sports City ,Jumeriah Lake Towers, Jumeirah Village Triangle and many more.

2017 will be the time where customers/investors in Real Estate will have a real advantage. The market has become more competitive, which will lead to better products, better pricing, better payment plans and schemes like never before. Customer service and after sale service of companies will become a part of the product offerings.  Financial institutions will become more competitive and it will give rise to new standard of customer service. Projects like City walk by Meraas, Dubai hills by Emaar, Town Square by Nshama, culture village by Dubai Properties, Pulse by Dubai South seem likely to continue to dominate the 2017 offerings.

2017 will see a shift from being a tenant to becoming an owner, real estate agents should be aware of financial products as there would be increase in mortgage buyers. Once again ready properties will see more movement as compared to last year due to price correction and prices reaching close to the cost of owning a land and cost of construction.
